This project revolves around dialogue editing. First, I hired voice actors to overdub a silent version of the Palm Springs trailer. Secondly, I added environmental sounds and foley, and lastly, I added a few songs.

Overdubbing is similar to ADR. ADR (automated dialogue replacement) is re-recording an actor’s vocal performance in a controlled environment later in the production stages. ADR might be advantageous when location audio is rendered unusable by surrounding noises, if different languages are needed, etc.

Dialogue editors are unsung heroes. When they do their jobs right, no one notices anything!
