Love them or hate them, these other-worldly robots excite sound designers more than most things in life, myself included. For this reason, I chose to do my own sound design for BumbleBee’s first transformation (from Transformers: BumbleBee). Go big or go home, right? Although it was only thirty-five seconds, the project ended up being well over one hundred and fifty tracks!

 

I guess that explains this statement: 

The franchise has been frequently praised and won awards for its sound design. Michael Bay praised the crew and highlighted the importance of sound saying "I have like 2,000 people — through their artistry — making my dreams a film," Bay said. "The artistry of this sound group is just amazing. I love, love sound. It's 45-50% of the movies.
